Our Bags

Vidarbha Organic Cotton Bags. Designed By Sybilla

Our bags were born with a “beautiful story” behind them: the choice of the seeds, their cultivation, the dyeing, printing, creation, packaging… have all been carried out organically, following the social, environmental and economical criteria of Fair Trade.

Buying This Bag You Know That:

Cotton has been bought at a fair price for farmers from Vidarbha (Central India): a 14.29% more than the price the Indian Government paid for organic cotton in the year 2009.

You helpe in the construction of two seed banks. With these seed banks 258 Navdanya-WOFA farmers canuse the seeds to plant different types of crops.

Costs of organic certification of 75 Navdanya-WOFA farmers (2009) have been paid. Thanks to this the farmers can sell the cotton at a higher price.

Participate in the construction of a water well. This water well is needed to irrigate cotton growing plantations

Its preparation has been done in the NGO Assisi Garments, which
employs more than 150 women at risk of social exclusion.
